In some cases, local anesthesia may be needed for deeper Morpheus8 treatments. As soon as the target area is sufficiently numb, your treatment can begin following a spot test to check for adverse reactions.

Treatment Duration

The duration of the treatment can vary depending on the size of the targeted area. Typically, Morpheus8 sessions can take anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour, making it a convenient option for individuals with busy schedules. Recovery

After your Morpheus8 treatment, you will most likely experience bruising—especially under the eyes—and your skin will be red. At W Cosmetic Surgery, we understand busy schedules and the need to get back to your everyday life, so we give patients the option to be treated with broadband light, or BBL, which shortens the duration of bruising.

Redness of the skin typically goes away by the next day following your Morpheus8 treatment, but you might still have tiny red marks from the needles on your skin, which can last up to five days. However, you’ll be able to wear makeup the day after your treatment.

Swelling can also last up to five days, and patients should avoid sun exposure for at least three months following treatment.

Are There Any Risks of Morpheus8?

Microneedling and RF are minimally invasive and involve minimal risks and side effects. However, you may experience swelling, bruising, redness, itching, scabbing, or bleeding following treatment. These minor issues typically resolve within a few days of treatment. To reduce the risk of bruising, 48 hours prior to treatment, discontinue the use of aspirin, ibuprofen, Excedrin, fish oil, and vitamin E.
