Mini Facelift in Philadelphia

Before & After Mini Facelift Photos

Have you looked in the mirror recently and felt that time and gravity have caught up to you? As we age, it can show up most prominently on our faces in the form of sagging, wrinkles, and fine lines. A mini facelift can rejuvenate your facial features for a fresher, younger look and restore your confidence.

If you’re in the Philadelphia area and are interested in a mini facelift, reach out to us today for a consultation with Dr. Wulc, who will answer all your questions and formulate a customized plan and solution for you.

A minimal incision facelift—or a mini facelift—is a modified version of the traditional facelift, meant to address milder signs of aging, including sagging in the neck, jawline, and cheeks.

The incisions for a mini facelift usually do not go completely around the ear but stop short of the ear lobe or only extend from the ear lobe into the hairline. It is a less invasive procedure that makes a dramatic change in the way you look by tightening sagging muscles and skin of the cheeks, chin, and neck. It is a quicker operation than a traditional facelift with a faster recovery.

Who is a good candidate for a mini facelift?

The surgery is best suited for patients under the age of 50 who have a generally good skin tone and who are in good health, but the procedure can be used on almost any patient who wants to improve signs of aging—specifically sagging of the facial muscles. Often, a mini lift can be combined with eyelid rejuvenation or laser resurfacing.

How long does a mini facelift last?

A mini facelift provides long-term results. Each patient is unique, but results typically last about ten years. If you had a twin that did not have the surgery, you will look younger than her for the rest of your lives.

Recovering from a mini facelift

Recovery is typically quick but the final result is not completely apparent for several weeks. We have a complete list of all that can be expected after this procedure, but generally you are black and blue for a week but can be concealed. Pain is minimal but tightness and numbness around the incisions are very common. Most patients are back to their normal social activities in 2 and, rarely, three weeks. We have specific protocols in place to speed your healing and get you back to your normal lifestyle in a surprisingly short period of time.
