What is the Clear & Brilliant Laser Treatment?

The Clear & Brilliant system is a laser skin resurfacing treatment that is designed to help reverse or prevent the earliest signs of aging. This advanced skin resurfacing treatment uses fractional laser technology to deliver powerful, yet gentle energy into the upper layers of the skin. After treatment, healthy, fresh skin cells gradually replace the damaged skin cells in the treated area, resulting in a refreshed, rejuvenated look.

How does the Clear & Brilliant Laser Work?

Clear & Brilliant is a fractional laser skin resurfacing treatment designed to address the early signs of aging and enhance skin texture and tone. The procedure utilizes precise laser technology to create microscopic treatment zones on the skin’s surface.

The laser emits controlled energy in a fractional pattern, creating tiny columns of thermal damage in the skin while leaving surrounding tissue unaffected. The results include:

  • Stimulating Collagen Production: The fractional laser stimulates the body’s natural healing response, promoting the production of collagen—a key protein that contributes to skin elasticity and firmness.
  • Cell Renewal: As the damaged skin cells are replaced by healthy ones, the treated area undergoes a gradual renewal process. This results in improved skin texture, reduced fine lines, and a more even skin tone.

Who can benefit from this laser?

The best candidates for Clear & Brilliant laser skin resurfacing are people who:

  • Want to minimize the appearance of lines and wrinkles
  • Shrink or reduce their pores
  • Reduce dark spots
  • Achieve a smoother skin texture

The Clear & Brilliant treatment is perfect for men and women who want to prevent or reverse early signs of facial skin aging. It is ideal for healthy adults of any age who are looking to improve the appearance of their skin.

At W Cosmetic Surgery™, the best treatment that we’ve found effective for pores is Clear & Brilliant.

What can I expect during the procedure?

The Clear & Brilliant procedure is quick and simple. Many patients are in and out within 30 minutes. Before the procedure begins, you have the option of having lidocaine (numbing) ointment applied to the treatment area. The ointment will minimize any discomfort you may feel during the laser treatment.

During the procedure, you will wear special goggles to protect your eyes from the laser. Your treatment provider will guide the Clear & Brilliant handpiece over your skin. Treatment usually takes anywhere from 15 to 20 minutes. Immediately after the procedure, your provider might apply a skincare serum or a sheet mask to the skin.

How Many Treatment Sessions Will I Need?

Many people will notice a new radiance and a more youthful appearance after just one Clear & Brilliant treatment, but in order to see more drastic results—like reducing fine lines and dark spots—we recommend four to six treatments spaced out about a month apart.

Clear & Brilliant Recovery

Recovery times vary after laser skin resurfacing procedures. Fortunately, Clear & Brilliant offers patients one of the shortest recovery times. Immediately after the treatment, you will want to avoid sun exposure, skip wearing makeup, and use a gentle lotion or moisturizer to protect your skin.

Some redness or puffiness of the skin is common immediately after a Clear & Brilliant treatment. Usually, these side effects go away after a day or two. As your skin sheds the dead, damaged cells, you might notice some flaking or that your skin feels rough for a couple of days.

Typically, people notice that their skin looks more refreshed and rejuvenated within five days of treatment. There is no need to take time off from work or avoid social activities. You might, however, want to wear a hat when you go outdoors to protect your skin from the sun. Sunscreen is also essential.

Can You Combine Clear & Brilliant with Other Treatments?

We often combine these treatments as we find that two treatments sometimes accelerate improvements and the treatments work synergistically.

BroadBand Light (BBL) photofacials utilize a fluorescent light and laser technology that is most commonly used for:

  • Lightening and removing sun spots and brown blotches on the face, neck, chest, hands, and other areas of the body.
  • Lightening and reducing redness, rosacea, dilated blood vessels, and broken blood vessels on the face, neck, and chest.
  • Helping to control flushing, improve skin texture through collagen stimulation, and improve pore size by temporarily reducing oiliness.

Many patients choose to combine a BBL photofacial with Clear & Brilliant laser resurfacing to receive the benefits of two treatments in one visit. When you do them together, you can:

  • Be in and out of the W Cosmetic office for you treatment in about 1.5 hours
  • Maximize the antiaging benefits of both treatments
  • Maximize the correction of hyperpigmentation, melasma, vascular lesions, uneven texture, and uneven tone

Are there any risks?

Side effects after Clear & Brilliant are minimal. The skin might look red and puffy and can feel dry to the touch immediately after treatment. Flaking of the skin is common as the damaged skin cells will gradually fall away to make room for newer, healthier cells.
