How long will it take to get back to work?
When can I go out in public?
Those are just two of the questions I get all the time in my role as cosmetic coordinator here at W Cosmetic Surgery.
Here’s the truth…your downtime depends on you…and a few other variables.
Those variables include how you typically heal (do you bruise easily, etc), and how much surgery you’re having. It’s always better to plan for more time off than you may need, so you don’t have to worry about healing. If you heal faster than expected…bonus!
Typically, W Cosmetic Surgery patients are able to go out in public, wearing foundation, at the 7 to 10 day mark. Gina sells a fantastic makeup that will cover up a great deal here at the office.
If you work at home, you’ll probably be up to it by day 4 or so. Most of our eyelid surgery and even our facelift patients return to the office or general activities approximately two weeks after your surgery. Exercise depends on the procedure and your fitness level.
If you’d like to see an actual story of healing, check out our brand new video.
We also offer each patient a detailed recovery guide, including a list of good supplements to support your healing (Vitamin C and others). We also have this handy video that spells out your step by step instructions for optimum post operative healing.
And as always, if you have questions…get in touch. We’re happy to help make your cosmetic procedure worry free.
